Job Overview

The Senior Deal Desk Analyst is a hands-on execution role at the center of Coursera's quote-to-cash process. Partnering daily with Sales, Finance, and Legal, you will spend the majority of your time structuring deals and building them in Salesforce CPQ — creating quotes, applying pricing and discounts, and managing deal approvals from submission through booking. You'll bring sound judgment on revenue recognition and commercial policy to every deal you touch, and you'll use that frontline experience to help improve our processes and support junior teammates. This role suits someone who takes pride in fast, accurate, high-volume deal execution and wants to grow their strategic influence from a foundation of operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Build and validate deal structures in Salesforce CPQ, including quotes, pricing, discounts, and order forms across new business, renewals, ramps, and multi-year agreements.
  • Manage deal approval workflows end to end — routing approvals, tracking status, resolving exceptions, and keeping deals moving within established SLAs.
  • Advise Sales on deal structuring options and Rules of Engagement, including pricing, discounting, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and booking policy implications.
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting to ensure proposals are compliant and aligned with discount guidelines and financial targets.
  • Identify recurring quote-to-cash issues from daily deal flow and support system enhancements, UAT, and process documentation to resolve them.
  • Support onboarding and day-to-day process questions for junior Deal Desk and Order Management team members.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Order Management, or Pricing roles at an Enterprise SaaS or B2B organization.
  • Hands-on experience building quotes and deal structures in Salesforce CPQ, including discount application and approval workflows.
  • Experience applying revenue recognition rules (e.g., ASC 606) to assess booking risk across deal structures.
  • Experience structuring commercial terms such as ramps, clawbacks, recontracting, and multi-year agreements.
  • Demonstrated history of partnering with Sales, Finance, Accounting, and Legal on pricing, discounting, and deal approvals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing a high-volume deal or approval queue against defined SLAs.
  • Experience participating in QTC system enhancement projects, UAT, or business process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with pricing engines, CLM tools, or data enrichment platforms.
  • Experience mentoring or training peers on deal desk processes and tools.
  • Experience supporting both Direct and Channel sales transactions.
