COMPENSATION
$170,000 - $230,000 USD + Bonus

LOCATION

Remote - Work from home in the US* or Ontario

OVERVIEW

Improve our cross-platform patching Agent running on over 1 million endpoints by working with leadership and across teams to research, design, develop, and document solutions as a subject matter expert.- Relentlessly push for improvement in architecture, programming knowledge and practices, team dynamics, and process flows.
- Evolve our release systems to automate agent updates.
- Expand our agent's security feature set.
- Contribute to unit and integration testing strategy improvements.
- Share knowledge and provide direction through a variety of mediums such as demos, Confluence, and formal talks in and between teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a Staff Engineer, you are an innately curious software developer who is dedicated to your craft. You write code that you are proud of and enjoy being the go to technical leader on any team you’re on. You want to be a part of a tenacious team with challenging problems to solve. You pride yourself on mentorship and being a strong technical leader who values working in a collaborative remote environment. You prioritize putting the customer first.

BACKGROUND & SKILLS REQUIRED

- 6+ years of enterprise-level agent development experience.
- Familiarity with systems programming, networking, virtual machine and container orchestration, and shell-scripting languages.
- Ability to communicate complex problems and concepts with respect, patience, and clarity.
- Passion for mentoring and developing a team of engineers.
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to pass a federal, state, county background check.
- Complete a local in-person verification.

SKILLS PREFERRED

- Programming experience in Golang.
- Cross-platform development experience.
- 10+ years of software development.
- Experience with and preference for working with a remote team across multiple United States time zones (Eastern to Pacific).

LOCATION

We are a fully distributed company with remote employees in concentrated areas across the United States.
