About Picus
Picus Security, the leading exposure validation company, proves what attackers can exploit and what your defenses stop, then closes real gaps with ready-to-deploy fixes and revalidates to confirm at the machine speed that today’s AI threats demand. The Picus Platform spans Picus Autonomous Penetration Testing, Picus Breach and Attack Simulation, and Picus Exposure Validation, unified by Picus Swarm, a swarm of AI agents that runs the whole validation loop continuously with human oversight. With 75+ integrations, it reaches across on-prem, hybrid cloud, and endpoint environments.
Trusted by many Fortune 500 enterprises, Picus was named a 2025 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Adversarial Exposure Validation and is recognized as an Innovation Leader in the Frost Radar for Automated Security Validation.
About The Role
If you're someone who takes initiative, forms your own point of view, and does your best work in a fast-moving environment, this is an opportunity to join a company that has consistently introduced new approaches to the market. We are looking for someone to take what Picus Labs and the product teams build and make it understandable and adoptable: translating research into language the field understands, and developing the mental models organizations need to evaluate and adopt new approaches.
Positioning at Picus is a team effort. You'll work closely with the CTO, the Product Marketing team, and cross-functional leaders; bringing your own well-formed point of view to the table, challenging assumptions constructively, and contributing to decisions rather than making them alone. Within that shared effort, you'll take ownership of specific deliverables end to end, from research and a strong first draft to the refined narrative the field actually uses and be accountable for their quality and impact.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role, with messaging, narratives, and executive-level presentations refreshed each quarter. It suits a strong communicator who enjoys the craft itself: doing the research, forming an opinion, writing well, and iterating quickly on feedback.
What You'll Do
Partner closely with the CTO and cross-functional leaders to continuously evolve Picus’ company, portfolio, and product positioning as the market and product strategy change
Monitor the cybersecurity market, Gartner and other key analysts, customer priorities, emerging categories, and competitor narratives to identify market shifts, differentiation opportunities, and strategic white space
Develop clear and differentiated messaging frameworks, value propositions, category narratives, and proof points for Picus and its evolving product portfolio
Translate complex product innovation and Picus Labs research into compelling, evidence-backed stories that resonate with customers, prospects, analysts, partners, and industry influencers
Lead the quarterly refresh of Picus’ corporate and portfolio narrative, including executive-level presentations for customers, the field, analysts, and major industry events
Shape Picus’ thought-leadership agenda and collaborate with internal experts to develop distinctive points of view, research reports, whitepapers, and executive or event narratives
Equip Sales and other go-to-market teams with messaging playbooks, presentations, competitive guidance, and launch narratives that help them communicate Picus’ value consistently and confidently
Validate and refine messaging through feedback from customers, prospects, analysts, and field teams, ensuring Picus’ positioning remains relevant, credible, and differentiated
What You Have
5+ years of product marketing (or equivalent) experience in B2B enterprise software, including meaningful experience in cybersecurity
A proven track record of defining and evolving company, portfolio, and product positioning in fast-changing markets
Strong understanding of cybersecurity buyers, market categories, analyst perspectives, and competitive dynamics; experience in exposure management or security validation is a strong advantage
The ability to synthesize customer insight, competitive intelligence, analyst research, and technical innovation into original points of view and actionable strategic recommendations
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts without losing credibility or substance
Excellent storytelling and presentation skills, including experience developing executive-level narratives and presentations for customers, analysts, sales teams, and industry events
Strong executive presence and the ability to collaborate with—and constructively challenge—leaders across Product, Research, Sales, and Marketing
A hands-on, high-ownership working style, with the ability to move independently from research and strategy to a strong first draft, then iterate quickly based on feedback
