Job description

Role Overview:

The Talent Solutions Lead is a senior, client-facing Talent Acquisition professional responsible for leading recruitment delivery within a designated business unit, function, project, or division for an assigned RPO client. Acting as the primary point of contact, this role partners closely with client stakeholders to develop and execute talent acquisition strategies that deliver against hiring objectives, workforce plans, and business priorities.

While this is a non-managerial position with no direct reports, the Talent Solutions Lead operates as a player-coach, providing guidance, mentorship, and subject matter expertise to recruiting team members while remaining actively involved in recruitment delivery and stakeholder management.

The role requires a strong balance of strategic consulting, operational execution, client relationship management, and talent acquisition expertise to ensure client satisfaction and delivery within budget.

Success in this role is measured by the ability to become a trusted talent advisor to the client, consistently deliver hiring outcomes, influence strategic workforce decisions, and elevate the performance of the wider recruitment team through coaching, expertise, and leadership without formal people management responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Partnership & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary Talent Acquisition contact for an assigned RPO client account, division, business unit, or project.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with hiring managers, HR leaders, and key business stakeholders.
  • Provide market insights, talent intelligence, hiring trends, and consultative recommendations to support workforce planning and recruitment strategies.
  • Facilitate regular business reviews, hiring updates, and operational discussions with client stakeholders.
  • Drive client satisfaction through proactive communication, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Influence hiring decisions through expertise in talent acquisition best practices and market dynamics.

Recruitment Delivery

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activity across assigned functions or business areas.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define hiring requirements, candidate profiles, sourcing strategies, and recruitment timelines.
  • Personally lead recruitment activity for critical, complex, or high-priority roles.
  • Work with the Global Sourcing Team (if applicable) to provide timely feedback on Talent Pools and Longlists.
  • Ensure service levels, hiring targets, quality metrics, and time-to-fill objectives are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor recruitment pipelines and identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the development of diverse and inclusive talent pipelines.

Talent Advisory & Workforce Planning

  • Consult with client stakeholders on organizational growth plans, talent availability, succession pipelines, and future hiring needs.
  • Deliver labour market insights and competitor intelligence to support business decision-making.
  • Recommend effective sourcing strategies and innovative attraction approaches for challenging skill sets.
  • Identify emerging hiring trends and proactively adjust recruitment strategies accordingly.

Team Leadership & Coaching

  • Act as a player-coach within the account team, offering guidance, support, and best practice sharing across Talent Solution Partners and Specialists.
  • Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to their professional development.
  • Support onboarding of new recruiters assigned to the account.
  • Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a culture of high performance.
  • Lead by example through personal delivery excellence and strong stakeholder engagement.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure recruitment processes comply with client requirements, company standards, employment legislation, and data privacy regulations.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment data, reporting, and activity tracking.
  • Analyse hiring metrics and use data to drive performance improvements.
  • Contribute to process optimisation and implementation of best practices.
  • Support account growth opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key skills, experience, qualifications required:

Essential

  • Experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), or in-house recruitment.
  • Experience managing senior stakeholder relationships within complex business environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing end-to-end recruitment across multiple disciplines or functions.
  • Strong consultative and influencing skills.
  • Experience interpreting recruitment data and translating insights into action.
  • Knowledge of workforce planning, talent market trends, and sourcing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Fluent in English and ideally additional languages.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting enterprise or multinational clients.
  • Prior experience leading recruitment projects, business units, or talent acquisition programmes.
  • Exposure to executive, professional, or specialist hiring.
  • Experience working within an RPO, MSP, or outsourced talent solutions environment.
