Job description

The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with over 3,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more.

Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly.

The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you.

What We Do

At The Trade Desk, the Business Development team fuels our growth by helping advertisers and agencies embrace the open internet.

We partner with the most ambitious brands and agencies across Korea and the wider North Asia region to unlock the full potential of programmatic—across CTV, video, display, native, and beyond.

We’re now expanding our outbound and omnichannel partnerships, connecting Korea’s leading advertisers with global audiences through data-driven, transparent advertising.

About the Role

Are you a proactive, strategic seller who can turn curiosity into consultative partnerships?

Do you combine commercial acumen with a love for learning new technology?

Do you thrive in fast-changing environments and value integrity, empathy, and teamwork?

If so, we’re looking for a Senior Account Executive who can be both a trusted consultant and driven deal-maker — balancing relationship building with data-backed, insight-led selling.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive New Growth: Identify, prospect, and onboard new advertiser and agency partners across outbound and cross-border sectors (e.g., gaming, entertainment, commerce, tech).
  • Strategic Selling: Translate client objectives into platform-based solutions, connecting brand and performance goals with The Trade Desk’s unique value proposition.
  • Consultative Partnership: Lead with insights — conduct discovery sessions, present omnichannel strategies, and educate partners on the evolving media landscape (CTV, identity, data-driven buying).
  • Collaborate for Scale: Work closely with Client Services, Marketing, and Global teams to activate, optimize, and grow accounts through structured joint business plans.
  • Pipeline Discipline: Build and manage accurate forecasts and opportunity pipelines, ensuring consistency and accountability in Salesforce.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of market, competitor, and industry trends to inform strategic recommendations and thought leadership.
  • Cultural Leadership: Embody The Trade Desk values — bring curiosity, objectivity, and collaboration to everything you do.

Who You Are

  • 5-8 years of experience in digital media, advertising, or ad-tech, ideally in programmatic, DSP, or data-driven sales.
  • Proven experience developing new business opportunities and growing key accounts.
  • Strong understanding of the Korean media ecosystem, with exposure to outbound or cross-border campaigns a plus.
  • Excellent communicator — able to simplify complex tech into clear, client-relevant narratives.
  • Analytical and structured — confident interpreting data, building forecasts, and crafting ROI-based recommendations.
  • Proactive and strategic — comfortable leading conversations, identifying opportunities, and setting long-term plans.
  • Empathetic collaborator who values shared success across cross functional teams.
  • Fluent in Korean and English.

Why Join Us

You’ll be part of a high-impact regional team shaping how Korean advertisers engage the world.

We offer an environment where curiosity is celebrated, integrity is non-negotiable, and innovation is constant.

At The Trade Desk, you’ll grow not only your career but also the industry itself.
