Job description
The Role

Karoo Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Product Manager to join our team. As a product leader at Karoo Health, you show a clear passion for building products that work - not just in theory, but in the hands of real users. You are energized by ambiguity and want to work on problems that matter.

In order to do this job well, you must be a decisive, action-oriented operator who can turn messy, competing stakeholder needs into a clear product direction. You have a bias toward shipping an MVP, learning fast, and iterating, rather than waiting for perfect certainty. Knowing there are always multiple ways to solve a problem, you know how to make a call, move forward, and adjust course as new information comes in.

When applying, please include a description of why you're interested in this role.

What You’ll Do
  • Define: Own data-driven product definition end-to-end, from problem discovery through requirements, scoping, and prioritization.
  • Launch: Drive products from concept to MVP to market, then iterate based on real-world feedback and usage.
  • Decide: Make fast, well-reasoned decisions in the face of incomplete information, and know when to move forward vs. when to pause and validate.
  • Align Stakeholders: Partner closely with engineering, clinical, operations, and executive stakeholders to build shared understanding and drive consensus toward a single product direction.
  • Connect Systems: Work closely with engineering to navigate interoperability challenges across EHRs, payer systems, and other third-party healthcare data sources, translating technical constraints into product tradeoffs.
  • Prioritize: Build and maintain a roadmap that balances customer needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Communicate: Clearly articulate the "why" behind product decisions to technical and non-technical audiences alike. Produce various product artifacts, such as: workflows, diagrams, working prototypes, PRDs, user stories, etc. Comfort level with using AI productivity tools.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, ideally at a startup or fast-paced environment, ideally within a clinical operations environment, with a track record of owning products from definition through launch.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and align diverse stakeholders (engineering, clinical, business, executive) toward a shared product direction.
  • Experience defining and shipping MVPs, then iterating based on user feedback and data.
  • Comfort making quick, high-conviction decisions without waiting for exhaustive hypothesis testing - while knowing when more validation is warranted.
  • Experience working on products involving system interoperability or complex data integrations (healthcare interoperability such as HL7/FHIR, EHR, or payer data a plus, but not required).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate ambiguity into clear requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and drive alignment without formal authority.
  • Healthcare, value-based care, or cardiology domain experience is a nice-to-have, not a requirement
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Why Join Us
  • Competitive salary and equity.
  • Fully-remote work environment available.
  • Full benefits package.
  • A collaborative and transparent company culture that values creativity and ownership.
