We are on the lookout for a talented Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design, integration, and debugging of novel robots. This role presents a unique opportunity to spearhead the development of our electrical system, select cutting-edge technologies, and drive reliability in cutting-edge robots. You will be working closely with a dedicated team to bring our electrical designs from prototype to production, ensuring our robots can seamlessly integrate into human environments.

This role is located at our Santa Clara, CA headquarters.

Cobot will offer a relocation stipend if you are relocating to join our Santa Clara office and currently live more than 50 miles outside of the office location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive electrical design and integration for our innovative robots, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, including mechanical, supply chain, software, firmware, and manufacturing, to debug and refine full system designs.

  • Drive the development of testing and validation methodologies to guarantee the efficacy and safety of our electrical systems.

  • Engage with partner engineering teams to streamline the electrical design process, from component selection to PCB layout and system bring-up.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical design and execution.

  • Proven expertise in component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout for custom boards.

  • Strong background in debugging and testing complex electrical designs, with a deep understanding of hardware design principles including Signal Integrity and Power Integrity.

  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams across mechanical, thermal, software, firmware, manufacturing, and testing disciplines.

  • Highly motivated teammate with excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, collaborative and dynamic start-up environment as part of a small team.

  • Willing to occasionally travel.

  • Must have and maintain US work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical and electronic design, preferably in robotics or similar complex systems.

  • Proficiency in system architecture, requirements capture, and system analysis.

  • Demonstrated experience selecting sensors for complex electromechanical products.

  • Expertise in developing and executing electrical validation plans.

The base salary range for this position is $195K–$215K plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and experience level. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the noted geographic area. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
