Job description

About Vinyl Equity

We're building the next generation of capital-markets infrastructure, starting with a modern, digital-native transfer agent designed for today's public companies. Our platform replaces slow, manual processes with secure, automated workflows.

Backed by Index Ventures, Spark Capital, and Infinity Ventures, our team includes veterans from NYSE, Equiniti, Computershare, and AngelList.

About the Role

This position owns Issuer Activation end-to-end — the product experience guiding customers from initial conversation through sandbox demonstration to live deployment. The role bridges pre-sales (demo environments with realistic data) and post-sales activation (contract signature to go-live with self-serve, diagnostic-led experiences).

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Issuer Activation roadmap covering demo environments, onboarding, cap-table migration, KYC/KYB intake, data ingestion, sandbox environments, and live orchestration

  • Define and ship self-serve migration experiences with full process visibility

  • Make Data Ingestion Application diagnostic-first with actionable guidance

  • Partner with Operations for product-led implementation experiences

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on architecture and data quality

  • Represent Issuer Activation in sales conversations with prospective issuers

  • Define success metrics: conversion rates, time-to-live, data-quality resolution rates, satisfaction scores

  • Produce product specs, decision memos, and customer-facing playbooks

Role Requirements

  • 7+ years product management experience; 3+ years in data, migration, or fintech operations

  • Direct experience shipping products with complex data ingestion, reconciliation, or migration workflows

  • Track record building self-serve, diagnostic-led products

  • Strong understanding surfacing data-quality signals as actionable customer guidance

  • Technical architecture comfort and cross-functional engineering collaboration

  • Sandbox/test environment design experience

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Distributed international team experience

  • Hands-on AI/ML tool experience

Nice to Haves

  • Capital markets, transfer agency, broker-dealer operations, or securities settlement exposure

  • Data-migration product leadership in fintech, brokerage, banking, or regulated environments

  • Cap-table products, equity administration tools, or securities operations platform experience

  • KYC/KYB workflow familiarity

  • Implementation lead, solutions architect, or operations engineering background

Compensation & Benefits

  • Target base salary: $130k-$207k (experience-dependent)

  • Equity-based compensation

  • Medical, dental & vision insurance

  • 401k

  • Flexible PTO

  • Hybrid schedule (minimum 3 days/week in-office)
