Position Summary

The Principal Software Engineer – Full Stack Developer is a senior technical contributor responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and enhancing enterprise-grade software applications. The engineer leads the end-to-end implementation of complex features, collaborates with system engineers and stakeholders to define technical requirements, and ensures solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable. They are expected to independently drive feature development, apply software design patterns and best practices, perform advanced debugging and root cause analysis, and mentor team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, develop, and implement new features and enhancements for enterprise applications that support customer-focused solutions within the Utilities & Energy technology sector.

  • Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex full-stack software features, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

  • Collaborate with system engineers, product stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate business and customer requirements into technical solutions.

  • Develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs using C#, .NET Core, and .NET Framework technologies.

  • Design and build responsive, high-performing user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, NgRx, and modern web technologies.

  • Apply object-oriented design principles, architectural best practices, and industry-standard design patterns to create innovative software solutions.

  • Perform detailed code reviews, mentor team members, and provide technical guidance to promote collaboration, accountability, and engineering excellence.

  • Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex application issues across multiple system layers.

  • Drive unit testing, code quality initiatives, and software validation activities to ensure high-quality product delivery.

  • Utilize source control and development tools such as Git and other version control systems to maintain code integrity and support agile development practices.

  • Participate in architectural discussions, technical planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application performance and customer experience.

  • Promote an authentic, customer-centric, agile, collaborative, and innovative culture within the engineering organization.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 9+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft technologies.

  • Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, .NET Framework, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and REST API development.

  • Proven experience designing and developing enterprise-grade applications using modern software engineering practices.

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with Microsoft SQL Server database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

  • Extensive experience with Angular 20 or later, TypeScript, NgRx, and Web API development.

  • Ability to independently design, develop, and deliver complete software features from requirements through deployment.

  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles and common design patterns.

  • Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.

  • Experience performing end-to-end application debugging across interconnected modules and services.

  • Good hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks and test-driven quality practices.

  • Strong knowledge of version control systems such as Git, Azure DevOps Server (ADS), Azure DevOps Services, VSTS, Perforce, or similar tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and work effectively in collaborative, agile development environments.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline implementation and release management.

  • Experience with cloud-native application development and deployment practices.

  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed application design.

  • Exposure to DevOps methodologies, automated testing, and infrastructure automation.

  • Experience supporting software solutions within industrial, utility, energy, or highly regulated environments.

  • Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and adopting emerging technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive technical improvements while fostering a collaborative and accountable engineering culture.

Education

  • Bachelor of Computer Science / Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering.
