HR Business Partner

Job description

As the Senior HR Business Partner for India, you will provide high-impact HR partnership to India and US-based leaders and employees, aligning business priorities with Weave’s global People strategy and the needs of our India workforce. You will serve as a key stakeholder across the employee lifecycle, partnering closely with People Team functional and program owners in areas including onboarding, compliance, performance management, employee relations, engagement, hiring, events, and culture. Rather than operating as a standalone HR function, you will connect leaders, employees, and People Team partners to drive effective execution and strong outcomes in India. You will also serve as a strategic advisor and coach to leaders, bringing local insight and perspective to help strengthen our culture and employee experience in India.

  • This position reports to Director HRBPs & Employee Experience.

  • This position is remote (India)

What You Will Own

  • Strategic Advising & Thought Partnership: Serve as the trusted HR advisor to leaders with India based employees and own how Weave's global people strategy comes to life in India. Shape initiatives while they are still being designed, not after they land.

  • Talent Insights & Analytics: Own the story behind India's talent data. Translate trends in attrition, hiring, performance, and engagement into recommendations leaders act on.

  • Global & Cultural Partnership: Be Weave's expert voice on the India employee experience and employment landscape, and make that experience something the whole People Team carries, not just one person.

  • Performance & Compensation: Support the compensation cycles in India, from calibration to manager coaching, partnering with Total Rewards on the global framework and bringing India market realities into the conversation.

  • Employee Relations: Own employee relations in India in a proactive manner, coaching managers through difficult moments and resolving concerns with fairness and sound judgment, in close partnership with the Director of HRBPs and Legal on sensitive matters.

  • Compliance & POSH: Own the India compliance landscape and serve as our first line for spotting risk, working alongside Legal, and external partners who handle statutory execution.

  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Own workforce planning input and hiring manager readiness, and shape a new-hire experience people remember, partnering closely with our India recruiters and the Global Talent Acquisition team.

  • Engagement & Culture: Own the India engagement action plan and hold leaders accountable to it, partnering with Employee Experience so India's story connects to Weave's broader culture.

  • India Programs & Events: Own India Meets, town halls, recognition, and celebrations from concept through execution. These are yours to build.

What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.

  • 7 plus years experience as a HRBP.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

What Will Make Us Love You

  • Experience building relationships and trust with stakeholders.

  • Experience working in a fast paced environment & willingness to take ownership for work outcomes.

  • Previous experience working in a technology company.

  • Experience working in a fast growth organization where scaling HR was needed.

  • Previously supporting an organization of 200+ employees.

  • Previous experience working with a U.S. based company.

  • Willingness to embrace the AI change and use these tools to further your work.

  • Ability to manage and lead cross-functional projects.

  • Working Some US hours will be required every week.
