Job title
Founding Broker Partnerships Lead
Job location
San Francisco, CA, US / Remote (US)
Job description
**Klaimee** is building liability coverage for the mistakes and failures of AI agents. We are a Y Combinator company backed by insurance capacity from-rated Bermuda-based partner, which powers our first product: a warranty for AI agent failures. Every company deploying AI agents will need this. Nobody owns the category yet. As companies deploy increasingly autonomous AI systems, their existing technology E&O and cyber policies often fail to address the actual risk: an agent making the wrong decision or taking the wrong action. We are looking for our first broker-focused GTM hire to make Klaimee the product brokers reach for when their clients ask about AI agent risk. You will build this distribution channel from the ground up, working across retail brokers, wholesalers, specialty brokers, and technology practices. This is not a traditional broker relationship-management role. You will help define an entirely new insurance category, educate the market, generate submissions, and turn early broker relationships into repeatable distribution. ## **What you’ll own** * **Broker distribution strategy:** determine which broker segments, practices, and firms are most likely to generate qualified business for Klaimee. * **Broker development:** build relationships with retail brokers, wholesalers, specialty brokers, cyber and technology practices, and innovation teams. * **Broker enablement**: create the materials, training, objection handling, submission process, and coverage explanations brokers need to sell Klaimee effectively. * **Pipeline generation**: turn broker relationships into qualified submissions, bound customers, and recurring premium. * **Account mapping:** identify the firms, offices, producers, and client portfolios with the strongest concentration of AI-native and AI-deploying companies. * **Market education**: help brokers understand where traditional E&O and cyber coverage stops and where AI agent liability begins. * **Feedback loop:** bring structured feedback from brokers and insureds into our underwriting, coverage, pricing, and product development. * **Channel operations**: build the systems for broker onboarding, submissions, follow-up, attribution, and performance management. * **Revenue:** carry a broker-sourced premium and revenue target from day one. ## **What success looks like in 12 months** * Klaimee has a focused network of brokers who understand the product and actively bring us opportunities. * Broker relationships are producing qualified submissions and bound business, not just introductory meetings. * We know which broker profiles, firms, and client segments generate the strongest results. * Brokers can clearly explain when a client needs Klaimee and how our coverage complements existing E&O and cyber policies. * We have a repeatable broker onboarding and enablement process. * A meaningful portion of Klaimee’s pipeline and premium is broker-sourced. * You have built the case to lead Klaimee’s future broker distribution team. ## **Who you are** * You have 5 - 8 years of experience in commercial insurance distribution, brokerage, insurtech, or specialty insurance. * You understand how brokers evaluate new products and what it takes to move from initial interest to actual submissions. * You have existing relationships with brokers serving technology companies, AI companies, or other emerging risks. * You can explain complex coverage in plain language and make brokers feel confident introducing something new to their clients. * You are commercially driven and comfortable being measured on submissions, premium, and bound business. * You are willing to prospect and build relationships personally rather than relying on an established brand or inbound demand. * You enjoy creating structure where none exists, from broker segmentation to enablement materials and channel economics. * You are curious enough to understand the technology and technical enough to explain the risk without hiding behind insurance jargon. **Bonus points i**f you have worked at an early-stage MGA or insurtech, distributed cyber or technology E&O products, launched a new insurance program, or sold coverage for emerging risks. ### **What we offer** Competitive salary with a meaningful variable component tied to broker-sourced business, plus significant founding-team equity. You will work directly with the founders and help establish the broker distribution model for a completely new category of insurance.
