Job Summary
We’re looking for an Experiences Lead to build and own Etched’s identity in the physical world. You will lead our efforts at industry conferences, Etched-sponsored recruiting events, product launch events, experiences hosted with our investors and ecosystem partners, and internal company events.
You will own events from concept through execution, including creative direction, production, logistics, vendor management, budgets, and measurement. You will partner closely with the founders and other creatives on the team to build exceptional experiences.
We are looking for someone with impeccable taste, a compulsive attention to detail, and the vision and execution ability to deliver curated and authentic in-person experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Cohosted events with investors: Lead event planning and logistics for events we cohost with our investors for top talent
Product launch keynotes: Build our flagship annual event, unveiling new technology through compelling storytelling, polished presentations, and live demonstrations
Company recruiting events: Lead event planning and logistics for open labs and large recruiting events, in partnership with the recruiting team
Conferences and public events: Define Etched’s brand presence at keystone industry conferences and events
Internal company events: Plan and execute offsites, town halls, quarterly full-team gatherings, and major celebrations such as boat parties and holiday parties
Guest speakers: Organize speaker events, including scheduling, logistics, and the attendee experience
You may be a good fit if you have (Must-have qualifications)
Have experience in events, experiential marketing, recruiting events, or event production
Have impeccable taste and a portfolio of thoughtful, highly polished experiences
Bring extraordinary attention to detail and remain composed when plans change
Have managed varied event formats and audiences, from intimate executive dinners to large conferences
Can balance creative ambition with budget discipline and operational precision
Are comfortable working directly with executives, engineers, recruiters, agencies, and external partners
Are willing to be occasionally travel
Strong candidates may also have experience with (Nice-to-have qualifications)
Experience with technical recruiting, university, or executive events
Experience producing live demonstrations or events in lab and hardware environments
Relationships with leading venues, production agencies, and experiential partners
A track record of connecting events to measurable recruiting, brand, or business outcomes

How we’re different
Etched believes in the Bitter Lesson. We are the first inference-focused frontier AI system, betting early on transformer and transformer-like architectures and on increasing model sizes. Our addressable market is the entirety of inference, unlike many of our competitors.
We are a fully in-person team in San Jose (Santana Row), and greatly value engineering skills. We do not have boundaries between engineering and research, and we expect all of our technical staff to contribute to both and work across disciplines as needed.
