About the Role
As a Data Collection Operator at Maven Robotics, you’ll operate robots using advanced data collection systems and play a hands-on role in developing cutting-edge AI-powered robotics. You’ll work closely with our robotics and AI teams to collect high-quality motion and behavioral data used to train robots to perform complex tasks in dynamic, real-world environments.
What You'll Do
- Operate robots using advanced data collection systems
- Guide robots through designated motions, manipulation tasks, and workflows to collect high-quality demonstration data
- Upload, validate, and organize collected data used for training AI models
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report operational issues during data collection
- Follow robot bring-up, calibration, and shutdown procedures to ensure safe, reliable operations
- Collaborate closely with AI, perception, and controls engineers to refine teleoperation pipelines and improve robot behaviors
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and organized work environment throughout data collection and operations
What We're Looking For
- Excellent physical coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail
- Ability to operate data collection equipment for extended periods while maintaining focus
- Comfortable standing, walking, and operating equipment for 8+ hours per day
- Quick learner who can efficiently master new physical tasks, tools, and workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative, receptive to feedback, and excited about robotics, AI, and emerging technologies
Nice to Have
- Experience with teleoperation systems, humanoid robots, or robotic manipulators
- Familiarity with VR interfaces, haptic devices, motion tracking, or robotic control systems
- Basic hardware and software troubleshooting skills during robot teleoperation
- Enthusiasm for developing and scaling next-generation robotic systems
