Role Overview
As a Lead Research Scientist within the LTX Partner R&D team, you bridge the gap between cutting-edge generative AI research and enterprise-scale production deployment. Working directly with technical leaders and researchers at top-tier global enterprises, you translate complex partner needs into novel generative video workflows and extend the capabilities of core LTX models. By collaborating with strategic partners across a wide range of industries and applications - spanning VFX, and animation in media & entertainment to real-time systems, physical AI, and robotics - you will turn state-of-the-art multimodal research into production-ready solutions that impact hundreds of millions of users
What you will be doing
- Partner Collaboration & Strategy: Work closely with researchers and decision-makers at client organizations to understand their core challenges and translate business needs into targeted AI research projects.
- Applied Research & Prototyping: Conduct high-impact experiments, develop novel control mechanisms, and prototype state-of-the-art generative video, image, and audio concepts.
- Production Deployment: Partner cross-functionally with engineers, creatives, and product managers to bring enterprise-ready algorithms into production with a focus on efficiency and runtime.
- Open-Source & Academic Impact: Publish research insights and regularly contribute open-source code and models back to the academic and developer communities.
- Code Excellence: Write clean, high-performance, and scalable code while maintaining best practices for research pipelines.
- Technical Leadership: Lead multi-group technical initiatives, mentor researchers and engineers, and guide collaborative projects from concept to execution.
Your skills and experience
- Education: M.Sc. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
- Domain Expertise: Strong background in generative AI, with deep familiarity in video generation, image processing, and multimodal architectures.
- Cross-Functional Experience: 5+ years of experience delivering technical projects across multiple cross-functional groups and external partners.
- Proven track record of originating novel ideas, executing rapid prototyping.
- Adaptability & Impact: Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong passion for driving business impact and solving real-world user needs.
