This is a full-time, onsite role based at our headquarters in Denver, CO.
In this position, we are seeking an active Licensed Journeyman Electrician in Colorado to assist with the installation, maintenance, and optimization of cutting-edge industrial electrical systems for a laser-driven inertial fusion energy system. This role requires a safety-first professional with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in industrial, commercial, and manufacturing settings. You will work with complex, high-energy systems pushing the boundaries of clean energy technology, requiring exceptional technical skill, precision, and adaptability.
Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and install simple and complex electrical blueprints, schematics, and layouts tailored for advanced fusion energy infrastructure.
- Demonstrate functional knowledge of both AC and DC systems, control systems, automation, and instrumentation.
- Install switchgear, panelboards, transformers and associated conduit and wiring while also providing electrical support of fixtures, harnesses, instrumentation, and other electrical equipment, etc.
- Maintain existing facility electrical infrastructure, ensuring lighting and general power systems operate at peak efficiency.
- Troubleshoot electrical anomalies to maximize system uptime and research operational continuity.
- Proficiently use multimeters and other test equipment.
- Assist facilities, electrical and engineering teams with the early-stage planning and physical layout of new electrical distributions, laser-delivery power subsystems, and buildings.
- Eager to assist with broader facility operations and diverse tasks, ensuring overall plant safety and operational excellence.
- Work seamlessly as an independent self-starter and as a collaborative team player. Effectively give clear directions to apprentices, contractors, etc. and accept strategic direction from leads.
Qualifications
- Must hold an active, valid Journeyman Electrician License in the State of Colorado.
- 3+ years of dedicated experience in industrial, commercial, and manufacturing environments.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical installation techniques, equipment, and materials, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Working knowledge of electrical principles, codes, governing industrial electrical wiring construction.
- Knowledge of SCADA instrumentation and I/O connectivity is a plus
- Strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to a "Safety First" culture, with adherence to OSHA, industry standards, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability and willingness to travel to auxiliary facilities when project requirements dictate.
- Strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the physical stamina required for active industrial field environments.
- Must have good people skills with the ability to work as a team.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum.
